i love this so much!! espescially that part about how friendships are something we have to work for, that that in of itself is such a blessing. it’s when friendships endure despite it all, that you know they are priceless💗💗
wow, wow, wow i loved this! it took me and some of my closest friends about two years out of high school to realise how much effort a true friendship will demand. it's so easy to mix up commenting on friends posts/responding to their reels in a decent time frame with actually working for the friendship <3
I loved reading this! Being raw on the internet can be so hard but you wrote this so beautifully. I can relate to your experiences, sometimes I imagine what my childhood would’ve been like if I lived in a time with no social media where I could just simply exist
I sometimes wish I was born at a different time as well, but we are also very lucky with all of the privileges we have. And it’s nice to reminisce about both.
ugh i loved this!! making friends nowadays is so different than it was for our parents generation—i made a lot of friendships through online, rarely do they ever become strong enough to meet in person, but im so glad u got that with hugo!! thats so sweet (: that’s how i met my now ex was thru online-and you’re right there’s definitely a stigma, and i very much attributed to the hate because i simply didn’t understand it—but so glad i turned over that leaf (: i think it’s beautiful that we can make friends online and they’re only a car or plane trip away
I love that you shared this with me. Thank you. 💘 I only talked in detail about the friendships that I currently appreciate, but I did have my fair share of those too, even an ex. Life is weird. We can DM about it xx
